Our Programs
Here at The Learning Nest, we are parents so we understand the hard work you’ve put into raising, nurturing and shaping your child into one of the adults who will change the world of tomorrow. That’s why we offer a curriculum which perfectly compliments your loving home with an educational environment that enriches your child in equal measure with your nurturing. The Learning Nest is a STEM based program that’s heavily influenced by Montessori and EL Education styles. We feel all three of these curriculums offer wonderful concepts that benefit children while preparing them for the future.
Infant Class
(3-18mo) 3 Teachers/10 Students
The first year of a child’s life is filled with phenomenal growth in all aspects of development—physical, mental, emotional, and social. Within the first several weeks of life, babies are already active learners, gathering and organizing knowledge about their surroundings and experiences. Our infant program begins at three months and continues until your baby turns one and a half year old. It is the goal of our guides to provide a safe and nurturing environment that meets your baby’s specific needs, as well as incorporate individual and group activities that stimulate and develop perceptual, emotional, and social learning.
Our infant program incorporates fine and large motor activities, art, practical life skills, sign language, interactive play, and lots of human-to-human contact (both with peers and guides). We work very hard to ensure that the baby has a strong sleep routine and pride ourselves on the focus and attention we put into our sleep training. Our infant guides create a classroom that fosters love and support for both baby and the parents. We want you to know that your baby is in the best hands possible when you kiss them goodbye each morning.
Toddler Class
(1.5-3yrs) Ratio 5:1
By the toddler program children not only begin to feel a deeper bond to their school and its teachers, but they also begin to develop the necessary skills used to make and maintain friends. At this age, it is critical that a child is able to practice and exercise his or her basic communication skills. Emotion-coaching is a key component of our program so that students understand how to recognize and communicate how they are feeling as well as what their needs and desires are. A fully balanced day, reassuring routine, and stimulating activities provide toddlers with a sense of security. They learn through a balance of play, teacher and self-facilitated activities, and repetition. It is the optimum environment for learning at this level of development!
Preschool Class
(3-5yrs) Ratio 10:1
Curiosity, mobility, problem-solving and exploration are rewarded in this active classroom where children learn to work with others, follow routines, self-regulate, and develop the confidence that will prepare them for entering kindergarten. Trust in self and in the world are big wins for all our preschool students.
